Serving the local Akron community for over 120 years
Superior service to our customers and our community has enabled us to weather the many economic storms that have come through our area. It has something to do with family values and pride, City Cleaners is owned and operated by Richard and Jeff Sitz fourth generation ownership.
Together they carry on the family tradition of providing their customers with the best dry cleaning service the Northeast Ohio area has to offer.
Friendly and professional services
With locations in West Akron, Fairlawn, Green, and Canton as well as their renowned pickup and delivery service City Cleaners is able to serve the entire Greater Akron area. City Cleaners strongly believes in giving back to the communities in which they do business.
They are involved in numerous area chambers of commerce, helping the unemployed with free suit cleaning, their heralded Glass Slipper mission, and supporting numerous school fundraisers and philanthropic efforts.

If I bring clothes in today, when will they be ready?
We can have your garments ready for you as soon as the next business day by 5pm.
Do you offer same day service? What about one hour service?
We offer same day service as requested only at our West Akron location when you drop off before 8am Monday - Friday. Your garments will be ready by 3pm that same day. We do not offer one-hour service.
Why didn’t the stain come out of my garment?
We stop working on a stain when we feel the fabric may be damaged. With this risk in mind, we are always happy to try again at no additional charge.
Do I need to make an appointment to come in?
No appointment needed! Just stop into any of our 6 locations.
Do you offer alterations?
Yes! We offer basic alterations and repairs. They take 1 week to complete.
How do I get your app?
Search “City Cleaners” in your app store. When signing up, be sure to use the same email that is on your account with us. This will link your account and you can view your order status, total, and more!
Is there a chance my order will be ready earlier than expected?
Make sure your cell number is on your account to receive order ready texts. As soon as your order is ready for pickup, you’ll receive this text along with the total. You can also always view your order status in our app.
What's my total?
When you download our app, you can see what your total is the day you drop it off!
Where can I find coupons?
Coupons can be found in our app. We also email coupons, so make sure your email is saved on account with us! Just hit the redeem button before you bring your clothes in.
Can you just press my garment without cleaning it?
Absolutely! Just let us know when you bring it in.
